My trip down south – Day Four. (3rd May)

It will be a short post today. I left Wagga Wagga early this morning and headed for Victoria. It was a perfect sunny morning which made for a very pleasant drive along the Olympic Hway and then the Hume Hway.

I drove through Wangaratta and Oxley thinking how pretty they are. The countryside around here is beautiful as well.

Today I met the second of my online friends, Elizabeth. I got here mid morning and we have spent the day chatting, checking the animals out, watching Elizabeth worm goats, milk goats and pack meat for the markets. Elizabeth has a lovely piece of home grown pork roasting in the oven for tea.

Elizabeth is a lovely person and we spent the whole day having a great old yarn. I have just met the rest of Elizabeth’s family and as I will be staying here tonight, I expect there will be quite a bit of chatting to happen yet. I will be heading off in the morning to catch up with more friends.

An avenue of trees in Wagga Wagga showing some Autumn colour.
Some of the scenery along the Olympic Hway. Look how blue that sky is.
