My weather station (Fine Offset clone from Jaycar) has performed well for about four years now but it is starting to show its age and cheapness. At the moment I use the WeeWX software to upload the data to my web page via a Raspberry Pi which works well so at this stage I’d like to maintain that.

I’m looking at building a replacement. I just jotted down this very basic block diagram to give me a bit of a guide. It’s early days yet so this will change. I will source the sensors and build it around them, maybe I’ll end up with a couple of outdoor arduino units talking to a central RPi. Signal strength etc will also affect my ultimate design.

Should be a fun project.
