My trip down south – Day Six. (5th May)

Today was a day of rest. After all of the travel over the last five days, I needed a break from driving. My friend Pam had invited me to stay for a couple of nights so I was able to have an easy day. In the morning, Pam had a few things she had to attend to so I went to visit Jan. Jan gave me a tour of her garden before we settled down for a chat. Jan also made me a lovely lunch.

After lunch, Jan suggested we go to Mt Donna Buang for a look. We picked Pam up on the way and headed up there. There is beautiful scenery all the way to the top with wonderful views of the valleys below. At the top, it was cold and foggy but I enjoyed it. I found the cold to be fresh and crisp and refreshing. We climbed the viewing tower at the top of the mountain however the fog prevented us from seeing too far.

This is me on top of the viewing platform trying not to appear cold.
I love the sculpture created by the tree trunks and branches.

That night Pam made us home made pizzas for tea and then we settled down in front of the TV. It was another great day.
