I stayed the night at Elizabeth’s. I had the most delicious breakfast of Elizabeth’s bacon and eggs on toast made from her home made bread.<\/p>

After her husband went to work and her children went to school, I helped Elizabeth feed her animals. Then we went for a walk down to the King River to the ‘beach’. This is an area where sand is deposited on a bend by the river. We were able to have a good chat while her dogs played in the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

I left Elizabeth’s at lunch time to drive to the Yarra valley. I was going to stay with Pam and her family for the next two nights and also catch up with another friend, Jan.<\/p>

The trip proved to be very picturesque with me leaving in sunlight and clear blue skies but arriving to cold, damp conditions. My GPS lead me astray while I was going over the range and somehow I ended up on Donna Buang Rd. This was interesting as it was a gravel road, very narrow, wet, on a steep slope, was very winding and visibility was extremely poor as it was dark and foggy. I was hoping that I didn’t meet another vehicle coming the other way. Luckily it was all good and I got through OK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The rest of the trip was lovely with spectacular views. When I arrived at Pam’s, I was given a tour of her property as she fed her horses, cow and chickens. Pam has the most beautiful place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

That night Jan came over to Pam’s and we sat up with a bottle of wine, a few beers and Stones Ginger Beers and chatted the night away. All in all, it had been a great day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
