My trip down south – Day Fifteen. (14th May)

Today was a combination of travel and meeting friends. It was a very long day. I left Canberra around 7:30am and travelled along the Hume Hway to Moss Vale where I had arranged to meet my friend Kathy and her partner Michael. Moss Vale is a very pretty town. I loved the old buildings that abound in the town.

Kathy and Michael are very nice people and I spent a couple of hours with them having a chat over morning tea.

Central Hotel, Moss Vale

The railway bridge, Moss Vale

Argyle House, Moss Vale

Lots of nice buildings in Moss Vale

After I left Moss Vale, I drove through the outer suburbs of Sydney and then north along the F3 freeway. I met Kurt at the roadhouse at Wyong North and spent half an hour chatting to him while we had sandwiches and a drink. Kurt is the last of my online friends that I will meet on this trip. I have enjoyed meeting all of the friends I have made online. They are all the same in real life as they appear online and they are a wonderful group of people.
I continued to drive north and as I was passing the turnoff to Maitland, I decided to ring my aunt to see if she was home and whether I could pop in for a quick visit. So I spent half an hour with my aunt and uncle before driving on to Taree where I had booked a motel for the night. I arrived at the motel at around a quarter to seven so an eleven hour day.
This will be my last night in a motel as I will be home tomorrow night. As much as I have loved this trip, it will be so great to be back home with my family tomorrow…
